Dr. Lapizco-Encinas’s research focus is on the area of Bioseparations on the micro-scale, with focus on electrokinetic techniques such as electrophoresis and dielectrophoresis. Her current research projects deal with the application of dielectrophoresis for the manipulations and concentration of bioparticles using microdevices with arrays of insulating structures.
