Description:

As a Research Scientist at Philips Research, I work on the topic of emotions and stress-reduction. Key elements in my work are automated feature extraction and interpretation of physiological signals, including classification of interpreted signals, as well as modeling of emotion. Aim of my work is to design and deploy intelligent algorithms to real world applications to ultimately ease and comfort our lives. My expertise is in the area of Pattern Recognition/Classification, Machine Learning, Clustering, Data Mining; in particular white-box methods (e.g., prototype based classifying), Signal Processing, Signal Interpretation, Feature Extraction, Affective Computing.
